Big skies and nature fuel my inspiration to paint. I aim to bring landscapes to life with colour and vibrancy, creating a visual experience to move you.
Tony was born in Kenya, where his love of big skies and nature began. He married a Scot and also fell in love with the Scottish scenery, especially the unusual clouds and stunning reflections we see in so many of his paintings.
His favoured medium is acrylic as it works well to create vibrancy and allows him to flow quickly in the moment.
Tony has been painting part time since 1998, mainly self taught with guidance from mentors in Scotland and Thailand, where he also enjoys painting.
He had his first big commission in 2002 for Wetherspoons in Poole where his paintings of Poole lifting bridge and Durdle Door are displayed to this day.
Subsequently Tony showed at a number of art fairs in London and the south of England before moving to Argyll.
Now fully retired, Tony has a studio in his garden at the start of Innellan where he continues to paint for himself and others.
Additionally, profits from his paintings are being sent to support the Kenya Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (KSPCA) – a wonderful charity his sister has been deeply involved with for over 30 years.
