I love beach craft, and specialise in creating jewellery from sea glass collected from right here on the beautiful Cowal peninsula; each piece is unique!
I count myself truly fortunate to live here on the Cowal, and collect sea glass from my local beach in Kirn, but also from Dunoon and Ardentinny. Each piece is unique, so every piece of jewellery I make is also truly a one-off.
I love that most of the sea glass we find locally reflects the many colours of the Clyde, from sea-moss green to aqua and even deep blues and greens. Many of the larger pieces still contain their embossed lettering, which I often paint or coat with silver or gold leaf.
For the remainder, I like to keep the sea glass largely as it is with its natural patina; though some pieces I polish to give a lovely sheen.
I mostly work with 925 sterling silver for the hardware, though I do produce pieces that are metal-free and on a variety of chains.
I can also do commissions; if you have ideas or your own pieces of sea glass please do get in touch and I’ll work with you to produce your own special necklace, earrings, or bracelets.
As well as my jewellery, I also design, print and/or paint t-shirts and cotton bags; again I take commissions and have produced one-off designs for customers including framed artwork.
