Walking my dogs in the woods, I share with them the joy of connecting with the magic of nature. A leaf, a root or a puddle can be meaningful and inspiring.
For as long as I can remember, I have always been enchanted by colours and shapes, but being inspired by the outdoors doesn’t mean my pictures are realistic; I see them more as a journey from Nature to Abstraction, and different people sometimes see different things in my work, which I love because it’s like I’m revealing more than I thought when I’m working…
On that note, I like to think that having one of my paintings stolen during a break-in was no coincidence, and even a small honour in itself.
