Through my writing I reflect upon life's experiences, the world around us and offer a new perspective and perhaps some solace to support your daily living
Lyndsey Greer moved to Argyll in 2019, just before the pandemic and lockdown disrupted everyone’s lives. Despite the challenges, Lyndsey always seeks out the positives in any situation.
Lyndsey has taken every opportunity to explore and connect with her home on the shore. With distant business travel no longer part of her routine, she enjoys watching each season unfold around her. The time at home also allows Lyndsey to fulfil her lifelong dream of writing and creating books.
Additionally, she continues to thrive in her business, Calma Shore, Positive Mind, Positive Life, as a Hypnotherapist, NLP Practitioner, and Positive Empowerment Coach. She also has a popular show on Dunoon Community Radio “Lunch, Laughter and Wellbeing with Lyndsey”
Despite her considerable career success, including Presidency of the Association of Scottish Businesswomen, Lyndsey is no stranger to adversity. In March 2025, Lyndsey was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and her positive outlook is contributing to her outlook on life and not letting the disease define her. These experiences have fuelled her desire to help others facing challenging circumstances, and not only by writing inspirational books but by her working and personal life.
Around 10 years ago Lyndsey started using Facebook every Sunday to post her reflections. ‘I penned just a few lines one day, something which had brought me some comfort, and shared it, hoping it might strike a chord with someone else who needed it.’ The positive reaction this received encouraged her to continue and within a few weeks she had attracted quite a following on social media. The 2020 COVID-19 lockdown provided Lyndsey with the perfect opportunity to gather her most popular posts together into her successful first book. ‘Thoughts From the Shore’, thoughts and wisdoms across the seasons of the year.
“Thoughts from the Hills” is the second book from local author Lyndsey H Greer. The book is a wonderfully curated compilation of Lyndsey’s innermost thoughts and observations, the book guides readers mindfully through the months of the year, The aim is to help them find some life balance amidst the stress and turmoil of modern living. Personal reflections are interwoven with positive suggestions and journaling prompts in this gem of a book which also features glorious images of the coastal nature which inspires Lyndsey every day.
The Artwork on the cover, “Heron by Loch Long” is an original watercolour, and Heron Drawings throughout the book are both by Argyll Artist Catriona Henderson Darroch, a member of Cowal Open Studios.
