I first had a go on the wheel 2 years ago, I still remember the feeling of complete relaxation I felt just touching the clay.

Having left school after completing 5th year, I wasn’t sure what was next for me but I knew it had to involve ceramics! Pauline, at SeaDrift Pottery was kind enough to do an exchange with me where she showed me the basics and helped me built my skills and knowledge.

Two years down the line I still go and do work with Pauline and Michaela & Chris from SeaTree Pottery too.

I mainly throw everyday practical ware such as mugs, bowls and vases but I also dabble in the odd Coil Pot which I like to call my “Yogi Pots” as they are inspired by yoga poses and the different Chakras.

I often use brightly coloured glazes as I have always loved bold, contrasting colours and I enjoy adding illustrative elements to my work inspired by nature and all its beauty.
