Textile artist inspired by my environment and vintages fabrics. Mixed media, machine and slow stitching feature in my work along with treasures from the beach.
I am passionate about the Cowal Peninsula and the beautiful beaches which provide endless inspiration. I love incorporating the things that I find on my daily walk to the beach, including shells, feathers and rusty objects. Coastal birds feature in my work and I am a little obsessed by flying ducks!
I won the City & Guilds Student prize in 2018 after completing the Diploma in Patchwork and Quilting. Since then I have been doing some teaching, talks and independently verifying the course tutor for the City & Guilds course.
I have a lovely studio and run classes for those who want to learn patch work & quilting and textile art processes.
