Over the past 6 years Hazel has found the colourful world of polymer clay a never ending journey of exploration and learning.
After more than 10 years making handmade cards for local customers but also for tv and magazines I needed a new challenge, something new to learn. Luckily I stumbled upon polymer clay on YouTube and my love affair began.
Over the years I’ve taken many classes to expand my knowledge and techniques. Polymer clay offers you so much scope for creation. One week I might be making 12th replicas of cakes and doorways, followed the next week by complete polymer clay vessels and jewellery. The sheer never ending choice of colour can sometimes be overwhelming but it helps me to try and not get stuck in my favourite colour combinations of blue and greens.
Before moving up to Tighnabruaich nearly two years ago I also taught a small group of ladies who had never touched polymer clay in their life and it was a sheer joy seeing them also fall in love with the medium as well as surprise themselves with just how creative they actually are.
