I love how scenic our beautiful country is, and in particular the scenery around my home town of Dunoon on the Cowal Peninsula!

I work mainly with oils and acrylics and whilst I paint on canvas, I really enjoy the weight that comes with using 18mm primed and prepped board for my works. I’ve captured some local scenes around Cowal and other locations in the west of Scotland,  including the Holy Loch,  Loch Eck and Loch / Ben Lomond as well as the Scottish Borders . I do however have one landscape painting in my collection of a scene from southern Spain!….. a place in the sun that just love!

I’ve also just recently expanded my horizons somewhat, and I’m tentatively exploring interesting people scenes which include cosy bar room chats over a quiet pint! I will add some of this artwork  soon…… I hope you’ll see and appreciate why I’m intrigued by this new work.
