I joined C.O.S this year as part of their Young Person Programme that seeks to support young people through the earliest years of their journey into business.
The members of the group in my corner of The Cowal Peninsula have been very supportive as has the committee. Early this year I opened my own Blacksmith premises ‘ Scrap Shack Forge ‘ focusing on semi- traditional forging using my hand made tools and a propane forge to form mostly Scandinavian objects.
I am a qualified blacksmith achieving a City and Guilds lv2 in traditional forge work and after finding a subsequent engineering course fairly boring I abandoned anything mainstream in favour of working on my own at forging.
I am very interested in folklore, mythology and fantasy and you may see this reflected in my work.
A warm welcome awaits you.
