I make sterling silver gem set jewellery. I like to use mixtures of shapes and unusual natural stones. My work involves themes- curls, leaves and waves.
My jewellery is all handmade in my workshop in Ardentinny. Working with many natural gemstones of various shapes and colours to create individual pieces of jewellery.
No two pieces are the same.
I have been making jewellery for many years (over 40 now!) and take my influences from natural forms, Art Nouveau – Alphonse Mucha and Rennie MacKintosh. Never seem to run out of ideas just time.
I enjoy the creation of making jewellery to incorporate the wonderful array of colours of natural stones and the combinations that are possible. Each piece is created from different sections of wire and sheet hand formed into the shapes I love.
I trained at Loughborough College of Art 1975-78 and have been working as a self employed jewellery designer craftsman ever since.
My work is hallmarked at the London assay office.
